Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Samsung TV Remote app ("the App") handles information. The App is provided by JustCode ApS, a company registered in Denmark ("JustCode", "we", "us"). If you have any questions, contact us at info@justcode.dk.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is JustCode ApS, Denmark. Contact: info@justcode.dk.
2. How the App works
Samsung TV Remote discovers and controls Samsung televisions on your local network. When you use the App, communication happens directly between your device and your TV over your home Wi-Fi. This traffic does not pass through, and is not stored on, any JustCode server.
3. Data we collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to JustCode servers. The App has no user accounts and does not include analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
4. Information stored on your device
To function, the App stores a small amount of information locally on your device only, including:
- The TV pairing key issued by your TV when you connect, so you don't have to pair again each time.
- The last TV you connected to, so the App can reconnect automatically.
This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.
5. Local network access
The App requests permission to access devices on your local network. It uses this access, including local network and multicast traffic, solely to discover your TV and send remote-control commands to it. This activity stays within your own network.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. JustCode never receives or stores your payment card details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. We may receive anonymized, aggregate subscription status information from Apple (for example, whether an active subscription exists) so the App can unlock its features.
7. Third parties
The only third party involved in providing the App is Apple, as the App Store operator and payment processor. We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers, because we do not collect such data in the first place.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data. Because the App does not collect personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have any questions about your privacy, you may contact us at info@justcode.dk and we will respond.
10. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Denmark and the European Union, including the GDPR.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and publish the updated version at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
